A 19-year-old motorcyclist was arrested after reaching speeds of more than 130 mph while attempting to evade California Highway Patrol officers in Fresno, authorities said.
CHP Fresno said the rider attempted to flee from officers at speeds exceeding 130 mph before eventually stopping and surrendering.
The rider was arrested on suspicion of felony evading and other offenses, according to CHP. Authorities did not identify the rider or provide details about what prompted officers to attempt the initial stop.
No serious injuries were reported to the rider or other motorists.
CHP warned that fleeing from law enforcement can put both the rider and other drivers at risk, urging motorists to slow down and pull over when officers attempt a traffic stop.
