Fresno police are asking for the public’s help identifying suspects accused of assaulting and robbing a man earlier this month, leaving him with a broken leg.

The robbery occurred around 1:40 p.m. Aug. 9 near Belmont Avenue and Third Street, according to the Fresno Police Department.

Police said the victim was walking home when the suspects approached him from behind and suddenly assaulted him.

During the attack, the victim ran toward the middle of Belmont Avenue, but the suspects caught up with him and continued assaulting him, police said.

The suspects stole the victim’s orange iPhone 17 Pro Max, valued at $1,000, according to police. The victim suffered a broken leg during the assault.

Police are seeking the community’s help identifying those involved.
