Dolly Parton, the country music legend whose career spanned nearly six decades, has died at age 80, PEOPLE reported Tuesday.
Parton’s nephew, Bryan Seaver, announced her death in an Instagram video on behalf of the Parton family.

The singer-songwriter had recently discussed health issues following the March 2025 death of her husband, Carl Dean. Just four days before her death, Parton told PEOPLE she was still healing and working, saying she had “so many things I want to achieve.”
Cause of death has not been publicly released at this time.
