Fifteen people were arrested and three police officers suffered minor injuries after a large fight involving about 100 people broke out Saturday night during a 559 Fights event at the Visalia Convention Center, police said.

Visalia Police Department personnel working at the event immediately requested additional officers after the fight began.

Police said 26 Visalia units responded and found several additional fights taking place throughout the venue.

Officers worked to bring the situation under control and disperse the crowd with assistance from the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office and the Farmersville and Exeter police departments.

Three Visalia police officers suffered minor injuries while managing the incident. All three were treated and released, according to police.

Authorities arrested 15 people on various charges. All 15 were booked into the Tulare County Adult Pre-Trial Detention Facility.
