Tulare County Sheriff’s Office detectives have arrested two men in connection with the killing of a 43-year-old man found dead last month near a Highway 99 off-ramp, authorities said.

Detectives on Thursday arrested Alexander Torres, 26, and Ramon Delgado, 32, both of Earlimart, in connection with the death of Ruben Chavez, according to the sheriff’s office.

Chavez was found dead April 16 near a Highway 99 off-ramp in Tulare County.

Authorities said homicide detectives identified Torres and Delgado as the primary suspects following what the sheriff’s office described as a lengthy investigation.
