A fire at a towing company warehouse in Fresno damaged or destroyed more than 20 vehicles Wednesday morning, according to the Fresno Fire Department.

Firefighters responded just before 7 a.m. to reports of a commercial structure fire in the 3200 block of West Lansing Way, near Weber Avenue.

Crews arrived to find heavy smoke and flames coming from the warehouse, which housed numerous vehicles.

Firefighters worked to contain the blaze, protect nearby structures, and prevent further damage.

The fire damaged or destroyed more than 20 vehicles and caused significant damage to the warehouse, officials said.

A total of 33 firefighters responded. One firefighter suffered a minor burn injury and was treated at the scene.

Fire investigators believe the blaze started in one of the vehicles stored inside the warehouse before spreading to surrounding vehicles and the building.
