Fresno County’s annual fall wine celebration is getting a Halloween makeover this weekend, inviting visitors to sip local wines, explore tasting rooms, and embrace the spooky season.
The Haunted Harvest Wine Journey takes place Saturday, Oct. 24, and Sunday, Oct. 25, from noon to 5 p.m., featuring two days of wine, beer, spirits, live music, and seasonal festivities across Fresno County.
Organized by Fresno County Wine Journey, the event moves from its traditional November dates to October this year, bringing a Halloween theme to the annual harvest celebration.
Guests are encouraged to wear costumes, although dressing up is optional.
“Moving our fall Wine Journey into October gives us a fun opportunity to celebrate the harvest while leaning into the festive spirit of the Halloween season,” said Ashley Borges, president of the Fresno County Wine Journey.
Wristband Allows Access to Both Days
A $25 wristband grants guests access to participating locations on both days, with curated tastings showcasing this year’s grape harvest.
Attendees are encouraged to bring their own wine glasses as they travel between wineries, breweries, and tasting rooms. Local vendors, live music at select locations, and seasonal experiences will also be featured.
Participating locations include A. Nonini Winery, Engelmann Cellars/Angelmann Brewing, LoMac Winery, Marian Farms, Moravia Wines, Simonian Farms, and Ziveli Winery in Fresno.
In Sanger, participating wineries include Gibson Wine Company, Kings River Winery, Maréchal Vineyards, and Valley Oak Winery. Gibson Wine Company and Maréchal Vineyards will open at 11 a.m. both days.
Additional stops include Solitary Cellars in Friant and Two Ravens Brewery in Clovis. Cardella Winery will offer tastings at LoMac Winery.
The event also highlights Fresno County’s locally owned wineries and beverage producers, with opportunities for visitors to discover new wines and support regional businesses.
The Fresno County Wine Journey traces its roots to 2005, when local winemakers formed the Twin Rivers Vintners Association to promote wineries and breweries between the Kings and San Joaquin rivers.
Wristbands are available for $25 through Eventbrite. Additional information is available at fresnocountywinejourney.com.
