Approximately 800 PG&E customers near Town & Country Park in Madera are without electricity as crews work to restore power following possible weather-related outages Thursday, authorities said.
The Madera Police Department said it received calls from residents reporting power outages throughout the city. Police confirmed with Pacific Gas and Electric Co. that about 800 customers near the park were affected.
The outage appears to be weather-related and potentially connected to recent rainfall, police said.
PG&E estimates electricity will be restored in the Town & Country Park area by approximately 4 p.m. Thursday. Restoration times for other affected areas may vary.
Additional outages have been reported throughout Madera, with PG&E crews working to address the disruptions.
Police urged motorists to use caution at intersections where traffic signals may not be functioning.
Drivers should treat intersections with nonfunctioning traffic signals as stop signs and remain alert to road conditions, authorities said.
