Update: The Tulare County Fire Department has lifted the shelter-in-place advisory.

The Tulare County Fire Department issued a shelter-in-place advisory for TLC-E278 following a gas leak in the area of Quail Avenue and Spring Road in Earlimart, urging residents to stay indoors until further notice.

Officials advised residents to remain inside, close windows and doors, shut off HVAC systems, and cover door gaps as part of hazmat precautions, and to remain sheltered until notified it is safe to leave.

The fire department said residents should call 911 for emergencies and follow updates through the Tulare County Fire social media channels, the Watch Duty app, the Genasys Protect app, or at protect.genasys.com.
