Claude AI Goes Down for Thousands Monday, Downdetector Shows

Claude AI experienced a possible outage Monday, according to Downdetector.com.

More than 2,000 users had reported problems with the platform as of 12:24 p.m. PT, according to Downdetector, which tracks outages by collecting status reports from multiple sources.

Most users who reported an issue to Downdetector said that they had issues with Claude Chat.

Claude’s status checker said they are investigating the issue.

Update at 12:31 p.m.

More than 4,700 users have now submitted an issue with the platform.

Claude’s status checker now says, “We have identified and are working to resolve an issue impacting Claude.ai. An additional impact of the ongoing issue is the inability to log-in via Claude.ai OAuth for Claude Code. We will provide an additional update as soon as possible.”

Update at 12:34 p.m.

More than 6,300 users have now reported issues with the platform.

Update at 12:46 p.m.

More than 11,000 users have now reported an issue with the Claude.

The platform’s status checker now says, “We have applied a fix, and at this time are seeing recovery of Claude.ai and related services such as OAuth log-in for Claude Code.”
