Michele Mazzei, an art teacher at Edison High School, is showcasing an exhibit at the M Street Arts Complex in downtown Fresno.
The exhibit features art created by Edison High students and focuses on the theme of “I am Resilient.”
Kane Sjoberg, a junior at Edison High School, says he chose Malala as the subject of his piece because he loves education and Malala fought for education.
“Education is so important, (and) it’s provided so many opportunities, and so, she’s my hero for this,” Sjoberg said Thursday night at ArtHop.
The exhibit continues through mid-October.
