Madera police recovered several illegal firearms and arrested multiple people prohibited from possessing them during the past two day and night shifts, the department announced.
Early Thursday morning, officers responded to the 1500 block of E. Yosemite Avenue after receiving a report of a man with a gun. Police said officers contacted Adan Solorio III, 25, who was allegedly concealing a sawed-off shotgun in his pant leg. Solorio discarded the firearm and fled, but officers apprehended him, according to police.
On Wednesday night, officers arrested Omar Marrujo, 36, after receiving reports that he had brandished a firearm. Police said Marrujo attempted to evade officers by jumping fences and hiding the firearm on the roof of a nearby residence.
During a probation compliance check, officers contacted Rodolfo Gonzalez-Banuelos, 34, who police identified as a prohibited person, and recovered a loaded ghost gun concealed inside his vehicle.
All three suspects were booked into the Madera County Jail, police said.
