Next Monday (April 24) from 2:00-3:15 PM, the “Religion of Peace” conference is scheduled to take place at Fresno State. Organized by a number of local groups, the conference is free to all and will feature a panel discussion from Valley faith leaders.
Dean Witt from the State President of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Rabbi Rick Winner from Temple Beth Israel, Amrik Virk from the Sikh Council of California, Rev. Anna Lopez of New Thought Community, Rev. Tim Kutzmark, minister of the Unitarian Universalist Church of Fresno, Jim Grant of the Social Justice Ministry, Roman Catholic Diocese of Fresno, Imam S. Ali Ghazvini from the Islamic Cultural Center of Fresno, Sister Patti Foshee of Brahma Kumaris and Rev. Natalie Chamberlain from First Congregational Church in Tulare are all slated to take part in the discussion.
The conference will be held in Room #191 of the Peters Building.
