A 28-year-old man was arrested early Wednesday after Fresno police said he was spotted wearing a ski mask on the roof of a business and later tried to flee from officers.
Officers responded about 3:03 a.m. to a business near Shields Avenue and Bond Street after a security company monitoring live surveillance reported a masked man on the roof, police said.
Police deployed a Drone as a First Responder unit, which confirmed the man, later identified as Gustavo Garcia, was still on the roof and wearing a ski mask and gloves.
Garcia was then seen running away, climbing down from the building and attempting to flee from responding officers, police said. He was taken into custody following efforts involving officers, the security company and the drone unit.
Garcia was arrested on suspicion of attempted burglary, resisting or delaying an officer and committing a felony while out on bond.
He was booked into the Fresno County Jail.
