An overturned big rig has closed a lane of southbound Highway 99 at Franklin Road, the California Highway Patrol said Wednesday.
The No. 1 lane is expected to remain closed for an extended period while crews remove the big rig and repair a damaged guardrail, according to CHP Merced.
Motorists traveling through the area should expect delays and use caution as emergency personnel and crews continue working along the roadway.
CHP said there is no estimated time for when the lane will reopen.
