Firefighters responded to a vegetation fire in Fresno County on Tuesday that grew to an estimated 25 to 30 acres near Campbell Mountain, according to information from Watch Duty.

The Lake Fire was burning in light, flashy fuels at a moderate rate of spread. Incident command reported the fire was located mid-slope and moving toward the top of a hill.

Air attack officials requested additional resources, including two air tankers, one helicopter, and an additional air attack aircraft.

Fresno County crews later reported making good progress, Watch Duty reported.

No information on injuries, structures threatened, or containment was immediately available.

Update at 1:50 p.m.

Watch Duty is now reporting that the fire has grown to 75 acres.
