On Sunday, owners of Fresno’s newest fine-dining experience, Bulle, cut the ribbon on their restaurant.
As a crowd waited outside to be let into the restaurant at Herndon and Marks avenues, co-owners Tom and Davita Miller said the process has been years in the making.
“We’re trying to be a step above, trying to push Fresno in a different direction when it comes to fine dining,” Tom Miller told GV Wire.
Shortly after cutting the ribbon with a chef’s knife, the space quickly filled with people buying craft cocktails adorned with flavored bubbles — Bulle means “bubble” in French — as they awaited their tables.
After a tour of Europe, the Millers came back to the U.S. with the vision for Bulle, they told GV Wire. It took about two years to get the space built and pieces in place for the restaurant.
Only two months after their soft opening, Bulle quickly became known for its high menu prices. And while Miller said the price of dining can get expensive, he said it depends on what customers want.
“You don’t have to come in here and do four courses, you don’t have to come in here and spend $150, $180 a person, you can easily come in here, get two items and a drink and be well under $75 a person,” Tom Miller said.
