The Dome Fire grew to 100 acres Tuesday near Chilnualna Falls in Yosemite National Park, prompting trail closures as firefighters worked to contain the blaze, park officials said.

The fire was reported Tuesday morning about a quarter-mile north of Chilnualna Falls and was visible from Wawona Road, or Highway 41.

There were no immediate threats to infrastructure or developed areas, according to Yosemite National Park.

Crews were attacking the fire from the ground and with aircraft as it spread at a moderate rate to the north and northeast.

Firefighters were using natural barriers to help contain the blaze, and fire lines had been secured along its south and west sides.

Yosemite National Park remained open and was operating normally Tuesday, with some trail closures near the fire.

The Chilnualna Falls Trail was closed, along with trails leading from the top of Chilnualna Falls toward Buena Vista and Crescent lakes.
