Police arrested a Fresno man Tuesday night in connection with a Dec. 27, 2025, physical disturbance and possible stabbing that left a victim with severe head injuries.
Officers responded at approximately 8:30 p.m. to the 3100 block of North Maroa Avenue, the Fresno Police Department told GV Wire.
Police said they located the victim at the northwest corner of Maroa and Shields avenues suffering from severe head trauma and severe facial lacerations. The victim was transported by emergency medical services to Community Regional Medical Center.
Authorities said the victim was treated for two brain bleeds and multiple lacerations to the back of his head. A witness identified one of the suspects as Joseph Dominguez, who was arrested Tuesday on suspicion of attempted murder.
A juvenile suspect was also arrested on the day of the initial incident, police said.
The juvenile was booked into the Juvenile Justice Campus on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon and resisting an officer, police said.
