Visalia firefighters responded to a home Monday afternoon after smoke was reported coming from the residence, the Visalia Fire Department said.

Firefighters were called about 1:19 p.m. to the 1600 block of North Court Street.

When crews arrived, they found smoke coming from the kitchen and determined the source was the stovetop, according to the department.

No one was home at the time, and no injuries were reported.

The department reminded residents to make sure stoves are completely turned off before leaving home.
