A 16-year-old was arrested in connection with the stabbing of another 16-year-old following a disturbance in Sanger, police said.
Sanger police said officers were initially dispatched to Walmart at about 4 p.m. Tuesday for a disturbance involving numerous people. Officers found a 16-year-old victim suffering from injuries that were not considered life-threatening.
The victim told officers he had been stabbed, and investigators determined the stabbing occurred on Bethel Avenue, south of Jensen Avenue.
The victim was transported to Community Regional Medical Center for treatment.
Police initially said the suspect, who was known to the victim, remained outstanding. Investigators later arrested a 16-year-old in connection with the stabbing.
The identities of the suspect and victim will not be released because they are juveniles, police said.
