Jewish Democrats are rallying behind Michigan Democratic U.S. Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed despite disagreements over Israel and controversy surrounding progressive streamer Hasan Piker, Haaretz reported.

Rep. Jamie Raskin, D-Md., campaigned with El-Sayed and rejected efforts to divide Democrats over the issue, framing the race against Republican Mike Rogers as a broader fight over democracy.

El-Sayed has increased outreach to Jewish voters and toned down criticism of AIPAC, which spent $30 million unsuccessfully opposing him in the primary, according to Haaretz.

However, El-Sayed has shown little indication he will moderate his position on Israel as the November election approaches.
