Fresno police are investigating after a man’s body was found on the roof of Fresno High School on Friday morning, the Fresno Police Department reported.

Shortly after 11 a.m., the Fresno Police Department received a call from Fresno Unified School District personnel after a campus employee discovered what was believed to be a deceased person on the roof at the north end of the campus.

Police officers, firefighters, and emergency medical personnel responded to the school, police said.

Fire personnel accessed the roof and located an adult male of unknown age. EMS personnel pronounced the man dead at the scene.

Police said the case is being investigated as a death investigation. Authorities are treating it as a suspicious death because of the location where the body was found.

The Fresno County Coroner’s Office was responding to the scene, and the investigation remains ongoing.
