A 5-year-old, 6-pound dog with a big personality and an even bigger sense of self is looking for a new home after being rescued by Mell’s Mutts.
Rikki Tikki, described by rescuers as a “petite little guy that thinks he’s big,” was found alone at a local business where he had reportedly been surviving for weeks in poor condition.
He was fearful of people at the time and would hide under trucks, only sneaking out when no one was around to eat.
Since being taken in, Rikki Tikki has made a dramatic turnaround. He now enjoys being around people, gets along well with other dogs, and even likes cats, according to the rescue.
Despite his tiny size, rescuers say he has a big personality and a playful, funny nature that keeps people entertained.
They say he would do well in almost any home and is expected to continue charming everyone he meets.

Prospective adopters must submit an adoption application for review to ensure the best match for each pup.
