A substitute teacher was arrested Wednesday after police said he physically grabbed a student at a middle school in Visalia.

Visalia police responded to La Joya Middle School after receiving a report involving a substitute teacher and a student.

Officers arrested Enrique Serrano, 50, at the scene, according to the Visalia Police Department.

Serrano was booked into the Tulare County Adult Pre-Trial Detention Facility on suspicion of felony child abuse, police said.
