Bertagnole is responsible for hospital operations and the Kaiser Foundation Health Plan at facilities in Fresno, Clovis, Selma and Oakhurst. The region serves more than 166,000 members.
“As a Central Valley native, I am proud to take on this new role and continue serving the Fresno area alongside our team of exceptional health care professionals who provide high-quality, specialized care to the communities we serve,” Bertagnole said in a news release.
“I am deeply committed to Kaiser Permanente’s mission of delivering high-quality, affordable health care as we help people lead long and healthy lives.”

He succeeds Tyler Hedden, who became the senior VP and area manager for Kaiser Permanente’s Diablo service area.
