A small puppy with a big heart is winning over everyone he meets as he looks for a permanent home.
Sweetness, a 10.5-pound, 5-month-old pup from Mell’s Mutts, lives up to his name. The young dog is known for his love of cuddling and belly rubs, greeting every new person with a wagging tail and a gentle, snuggling posture.
Despite his young age, Sweetness has quickly adapted to home life. He enjoys playing and curling up with his foster siblings and has already learned basic commands like “sit” and going to his “blanket.” He sleeps in his crate at night and is nearly fully potty trained, a sign of his eagerness to learn and please.
Nicknamed “Sweetness Scrappy Doo” for his resemblance to the cartoon character, the puppy shows a mix of tenderness and resilience. Those who care for him say he can be tough when needed, but his affectionate nature shines through.
Sweetness has come through difficult circumstances and is now healthy, maintaining a gentle spirit that has endeared him to everyone around him.
For now, he continues to wag his tail, cuddle close and wait for the home that will match the warmth he gives so freely.
