State Center Community College Trustee Annalisa Perea and Fresno City Councilwoman Esmeralda Soria are hosting a free face mask drive-through Monday at Fresno City College.
They have about 3,000 masks to protect against spreading and getting infected with the coronavirus. The masks will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.
Scientific research shows that wearing a mask in public — along with washing your hands frequently — is effective in containing the spread of COVID-19.
The mask distribution is scheduled from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the parking lot north of McKinley Avenue.
The event’s sponsors are Rajdeep Sandhu, Tradecraft Farms, Caglia Environmental, Omni Government Relations, Carpenters Local 701, Drywall Lathers Local 9083, and the Fresno Madera Kings and Tulare Building and Construction Trades Council.
