After spending more than two decades focusing exclusively on women’s cancers, California Oncology of the Central Valley felt its name no longer matched the mission.

“This transition truly echoes our purpose. We are honored to help the women in this area so that they and their families don’t have to travel long distances for the high-quality care they deserve.” – Dr. Christopher Perkins, founder, Women’s Cancer Care

The Fresno clinic will now be known as Women’s Cancer Care.

For many years, the clinic has provided clinical expertise, hospitable service, and education to women facing cancer diagnoses.

“This transition truly echoes our purpose. We are honored to help the women in this area so that they and their families don’t have to travel long distances for the high-quality care they deserve,” said said Dr. Christopher Perkins, who founded the clinic

While the clinic has a new name, Women’s Cancer Care remains at 6121 N. Thesta St., Suite 204,  in Fresno.

The clinic also announced a new provider, L. Lisa Ge, M.D., who came from Minnesota in early 2021 with more than 15 years of oncology practice experience, passion, and expertise for breast cancer care.

“I believe that every patient should be treated like family, and that is exactly how we treat our patients at Women’s Cancer Care,” said Dr. Ge. “Women’s cancers are intimate, emotional diseases, and I feel deeply privileged to be trusted by our patients at such a vulnerable time in their lives.”
