There is more love for downtown Fresno. The latest issue New America writes about Fresno and its resurrection of downtown.
New America describes itself as “think tank and civic enterprise committed to renewing American politics, prosperity, and purpose in the Digital Age. We generate big ideas, bridge the gap between technology and policy, and curate broad public conversation. Structurally, we combine the best of a policy research institute, technology laboratory, public forum, media platform, and a venture capital fund for ideas. We are a distinctive community of thinkers, writers, researchers, technologists, and community activists who believe deeply in the possibility of American renewal.”
The rest of America is recognizing the hard work put into downtown. Atlantic writer James Fallows wrote a long-form piece in April 2015. He will be in town on October 5 as the keynote speaker for the 2016 Partnership Summit produce by the California Partnership for the San Joaquin Valley.
