A 17-year-old boy was critically injured in a shooting Thursday evening in Exeter, according to the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office.
The Exeter Police Department received a report of a shooting around 5:30 p.m. in the 300 block of Jacob Place.
Officers from Exeter, Farmersville, and Lindsay police departments, along with Tulare County sheriff’s deputies, responded and found the teenager suffering from a gunshot wound.
CPR was performed before the teen was taken to Kaweah Health Medical Center in Visalia for further treatment. He remained in critical condition, authorities said.
At the request of the Exeter Police Department, the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office has taken over the investigation.
