A federal judge ordered Attorney General Todd Blanche to provide handwritten FBI notes from interviews with a woman who accused President Donald Trump and Jeffrey Epstein of sexually abusing her when she was a teenager, MS NOW reported.
U.S. District Judge Emmet Sullivan ruled that the Justice Department must submit the notes to the court by 11 a.m. ET Sept. 24 for review. The interviews took place between July and October 2019. The order does not require the notes to be released publicly.
The ruling came in a lawsuit filed by independent journalist and former MS NOW host Katie Phang seeking additional unredacted Epstein files.
The Justice Department argued the notes contain identifying information and are substantially similar to previously released FBI memoranda. Sullivan rejected the department’s duplication argument, noting that handwritten notes from more than 100 witness and survivor interviews have already been made public, according to MS NOW.
