Officers found three people suffering from gunshot wounds.

A 30-year-old man and a 34-year-old woman suffered injuries that were not considered life-threatening and were taken to Community Regional Medical Center, where both were listed in stable condition.

Cabrera suffered multiple gunshot wounds to his upper body and was also taken to the hospital. He died from his injuries a short time later.

Investigators determined that Cabrera and the 30-year-old man had been confronted by a man inside the apartment complex. Police said the gunman fired several rounds toward them, striking both.

The 34-year-old woman, who was not connected to the other two victims, was unintentionally struck by the gunfire, police said.
