Donald Trump says “I accept!” in response to what he perceives as a Taylor Swift endorsement, seizing on the idea that her fan base could boost his campaign.
On Sunday, former President Trump used his social network, Truth Social, to share images suggesting that Taylor Swift’s fan base, known as the “Swifties,” has pledged support for him.
The social media post features numerous AI-generated photos and an article that clearly labels itself as “satire.”
Twitter user Amuse originally shared a graphic with the headline, “Swifties Turning to Trump After Isis Foiled Taylor Swift Concert.” The tweet included an AI-generated image of women wearing “Swifties for Trump” shirts.

In a follow-up tweet, Amuse explained, “From time to time I will use satire to make a point or just to get a laugh. When I do I will mark it ‘satire.’ ”
This is not to cast doubt on the possibility that some “Swifties” might vote for the former president, but it appears the right is using these images to imply that Swift’s prominent fan base represents a significant portion of the younger generation’s voting bloc.

What Would Taylor Think?
As of Monday, the pop superstar has not commented on the matter and has not publicly endorsed a candidate for the 2024 race for the White House.
However, in 2020, Swift announced on social media that she would vote for Joe Biden for president and even baked cookies with “Biden 2020” written on them.
I spoke to @vmagazine about why I’ll be voting for Joe Biden for president. So apt that it’s come out on the night of the VP debate. Gonna be watching and supporting @KamalaHarris by yelling at the tv a lot. And I also have custom cookies 🍪💪😘

The notion that Swift would shift her support to Trump is difficult to believe but this election cycle has already proved to be one for the history books.
