A Riverdale man was arrested after authorities serving a search warrant at a residence found illegal narcotics, the Coalinga Police Department said Monday.
The search was conducted Thursday at 3:15 p.m. by Coalinga police in partnership with the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office Multi-Agency Gang Enforcement Consortium.
Officers executed a search warrant at a home in the 21000 block of Wauwa Avenue in Riverdale. During the search, authorities located and seized khat, an illegal narcotic, according to police.
Ali Nagi Hussein, of Riverdale, was arrested on suspicion of possessing narcotics. Police said charges will be forwarded to the Fresno County District Attorney’s Office for possession of a controlled substance.
According to the Coalinga Police Department, the investigation began in Coalinga and later extended to Riverdale.
