The Fresno community gathered in the thousands on Monday to honor Martin Luther King Jr. in an annual march.

Wendy McCulley, chief engagement and external partnerships officer for Fresno Unified School District, delivered the keynote address.

Her speech emphasized the enduring relevance of King’s legacy.

McCulley said that the problems that MLK Jr. saw in the 1950s and 1960s continue: “We are still in this fight and in this struggle.”
