A Visalia man was convicted Wednesday on multiple felony charges involving crimes against children, including aggravated sexual assault of a child, prosecutors said.
A Tulare County Superior Court jury found Efren Reyes-Navarro, 37, guilty of 18 felony counts of child molestation, one felony count of aggravated sexual assault of a child, and one felony count of distributing pornography to a minor, according to the Tulare County District Attorney’s Office.
Prosecutors said many of the charges included special allegations that the sexual conduct was substantial.
The crimes occurred between May 2017 and July 2022 in Visalia and Los Angeles and involved a female minor victim, authorities said.
Reyes-Navarro is scheduled to be sentenced June 4 in Tulare County Superior Court. He faces a potential life sentence in prison.
The case was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Adam Clare and investigated by the Visalia Police Department.
