If you want to work at The Big Fresno Fair during its 12-day run in October, plan on participating in a job fair on Thursday, Aug. 26.

Fair officials are looking to hire about 400 employees. Among the positions: parking and admission ticket sellers, ticket takers, parking attendants, customer service representatives, janitorial staff, maintenance staff, horse racing staff, security guards, concessions, and museum docents. Volunteer opportunities are available, too.

“We are looking for hardworking candidates with excellent customer service skills who will help fair-goers with any questions they may have, ” said Stacy Rianda, a deputy manager with the fair.

The job fair will run from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the fair’s Commerce Building. The fairground is at 1121 S. Chance Ave. Directions to the fairground are at this link.

Fill Out Applications in Advance

Applications will be available on-site, but fair officials encourage candidates to download one ahead of time at www.fresnofair.com/employment, fill it out, and make copies before the job fair. Job seekers must bring a photo ID, and business attire is encouraged.

Additional information is available at 559 650-FAIR, info@fresnofair.com, and www.FresnoFair.com.

The fair returns as an in-person event on Oct. 6 and will run through Oct. 17.  It will feature concerts, carnival rides, horse racing, exhibits, and more.
