For the first time in its 52-year history, the World Ag Expo will not have an event next February in Tulare.

To provide plenty of time for exhibitors, attendees, volunteers, concessionaires, contractors, and local businesses time to adjust their plans, the International Agri-Center Board of Directors decided to cancel the 2021 event because of COVID-19 Restrictions.

An estimated average of 100,000 individuals from 65 countries attend the World Ag Expo annually.

Message from CEO

“After working with the Tulare County Health Department and other officials, it has become evident that given health and safety restrictions from the State of California, holding a live, international event is not responsible in February.” — Jerry Sinift, International Agri-Center CEO

“After working with the Tulare County Health Department and other officials, it has become evident that given health and safety restrictions from the State of California, holding a live, international event is not responsible in February,” said Jerry Sinift, International Agri-Center CEO in a news release.

“This was definitely a tough decision and not one that was ever taken lightly just from a safety and economic standpoint,” Jennifer Fawkes, marketing manager for World Ag Expo, told AgNetWest. “There was a lot of time spent with local and state health officials looking at what their needs are for the current pandemic, what was going to be realistic and safe for our show, and the timelines that our exhibitors and attendees have for making plans.”

Looking Ahead to 2022

Staff will reach out to exhibitors about fees and more options for 2021 starting Wednesday.

The 2022 World Ag Expo is scheduled for Feb. 8-10.
