An unplanned power outage affecting parts of eastern Fresno County near Sanger and Centerville continued Thursday morning after Pacific Gas and Electric’s estimated restoration time passed.
PG&E says that 2,170 customers are affected by the outage.
According to PG&E’s outage map, the affected area includes portions of Centerville and areas north and northeast of Sanger, extending along Kings Canyon Road and toward Trimmer Springs Road.
PG&E initially estimated that electricity would be restored by 9:30 a.m., but power remained out beyond that time.
“We apologize for the delay in getting your power back on. Unforeseen issues can cause unexpected delays for our crews,” PG&E said on its website.
The utility said crews were evaluating the electrical system to identify damaged sections and make necessary repairs before safely restoring power.
PG&E has not identified the cause of the unplanned outage in the information provided.
The utility said it would provide additional updates as more information becomes available.
Residents can check the PG&E outage map for updates on restoration efforts.
