A Fresno man brought a knife during what turned out to be a potential gun fight – and it all unfolded at an upscaling shopping center in Clovis.

Clovis police responded to The Avenue shopping center near Willow and Shepherd avenues Tuesday after receiving a report of a man pulling a knife on another person.

According to police, the person threatened with the knife drew his legally concealed firearm and held it in a low-ready position.

Officers arrived at the shopping center, near Enzo’s Table and Willow Osteria, and arrested Marc Bommarito, 56, of Fresno.

Bommarito was arrested on suspicion of making criminal threats and brandishing a knife.

No injuries were reported.
