Fresno Chaffee Zoo is getting into the Halloween spirit with glowing pumpkins, Dracula’s disco, and even a parade of costumed dogs as ZooBoo returns Oct. 22-24.

The family-friendly Halloween celebration will feature live pumpkin carving, trick-or-treating, and a chance to explore the zoo after dark, surrounded by Halloween lights and decorations.

But the spooky fun isn’t just for humans.

On Sunday, Oct. 25, the zoo will host a special “Sniffari Night: ZooBoo Edition,” giving four-legged friends a chance to join the Halloween festivities.

Well-behaved, leashed dogs and their owners can enjoy trick-or-treating, a pooch parade, and a chance to win a $100 gift certificate to Elaine’s Pet Resort.

Pups and their people are encouraged to dress in costumes for the occasion.

ZooBoo runs from 5 to 8 p.m. Oct. 22-24. Regular zoo admission holders can visit from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on those dates. Regular zoo hours will return to 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Oct. 25.

How Much Are Tickets?

ZooBoo tickets cost $18 for adult zoo members and $16 for member children ages 2 to 18.

Nonmember admission is $22 for adults ages 12 and older and $20 for children ages 2 to 11.

For those bringing their furry friends to Sniffari Night, dog admission is $25.

Only one dog is permitted per adult ticket, and each dog must have a designated adult accompanying it at all times.

Tickets are available at fcz.org.
