Detectives with the Modesto Police Department are seeking additional witnesses in connection with a homicide investigation stemming from a deadly incident on Monterey Avenue last week.

The request for witnesses comes days after a stabbing at a residence on Monterey Avenue left two women and an infant dead.

The suspect, identified by police as Joaquin Escoto, 28, was later found hiding inside a nearby residence and was taken into custody.

Police said the investigation remains active.
