Two people were injured Monday evening in a motorcycle crash in Visalia, authorities said.

Visalia police responded at about 5:25 p.m. to a traffic collision involving a motorcycle at the intersection of Mooney Boulevard and Beech Avenue, according to the Visalia Police Department.

The two occupants of the motorcycle were transported to a hospital with injuries. Police did not immediately provide information on the severity of those injuries.

Mooney Boulevard was closed between Beech and Whitendale avenues while officers investigated the crash.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
