Christopher Norris, 19, has been arrested following a gas station shooting in Southeast Fresno that left one person injured, according to the Fresno Police Department.

Police say the incident unfolded early Saturday, Oct. 26, at 1:09 a.m., when officers responded to reports of a shooting at the Shell Gas Station on the corner of Maple and Jensen avenues.

Officers found a male victim with multiple gunshot wounds.

The victim was rushed to Community Regional Medical Center, where he had surgery and was later reported to be in stable condition, authorities said.

Investigators with the Felony Assault Unit determined that the shooting stemmed from an argument between the victim, his girlfriend, and three other men as they left the store.

The dispute escalated into a fistfight, during which Norris then allegedly drew a firearm and shot the victim multiple times, authorities said.

On Monday, detectives arrested Norris and he was booked into Fresno County Jail on charges of assault with a deadly weapon, shooting at a dwelling, and being a felon in possession of a firearm.

Got a Tip?

While an arrest has been made, authorities urge anyone with additional information about the incident to contact Valley Crime Stoppers at (559) 498-STOP.

Callers whose tips lead to an arrest may be eligible for a cash reward.
