Madera County sheriff’s detectives and law enforcement partners were serving multiple drug-related search warrants Thursday at locations across Madera County, authorities said.

Authorities emphasized that the warrants were not related to immigration enforcement.

Law enforcement activity was reported at Barcelona Way and Laguna Way, Carrey Avenue and Lilly Street, South A Street and Hull Avenue, South A Street and Wallace Avenue, Avenue 13 1/2 and Wood Street, and South N Street and West Sixth Street in Madera.

Another warrant was being served near Hopi Avenue and Erie Road in Coarsegold.

The Sheriff’s Office said there was no immediate threat to the community but urged people to use caution in the affected areas while law enforcement personnel remained on scene.

The agency did not immediately release additional information about the investigation.
