Two registered sex offenders were arrested on new child sexual abuse material charges following a two-day enforcement operation in Clovis ahead of Halloween, police said Sunday.
Clovis Police detectives conducted 15 probation searches throughout the city as part of “Operation No Tricks or Treats,” which focused on registered sex offenders who were on probation for possession of child sexual abuse material.
Of the 15 people searched, two were found to be violating the terms of their probation and were arrested on new charges of possessing child sexual abuse material, according to police.
Police identified the suspects as Victor Schumacher, 39, and Able Snowden, 28, both of Clovis. Police said each faces multiple felony charges.
The Fresno County Sheriff’s Office Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force assisted Clovis Police with the operation.
