Fresno County Sheriff’s detectives with the Agricultural Crime Task Force have arrested Martin Sanchez, 56, of Sanger and charged him with felony grand theft.

On Sept. 19, a grower reported a theft of citrus trees from his property located near North and Temperance Avenues, southeast of Fresno, the sheriff’s office said.

Detectives developed a lead during their investigation and served a search warrant at a home located near 8th and I Streets in Sanger. There they recovered 10 citrus trees valued at about $3,500 and arrested Sanchez.

The suspect has posted bond and bailed out of jail, detectives said.
