The California Highway Patrol’s Fort Tejon office reported Wednesday that the two right lanes of southbound Interstate 5, north of Fort Tejon Road, were closed.

An image shared by CHP showed a semitruck involved in a crash along the roadway.

Authorities warned motorists to slow down as wet weather has made the roadway slippery.

CHP urged drivers to maintain a safe following distance from vehicles ahead of them and use caution while traveling through the area.

Motorists should expect delays through the affected stretch of the highway.
