A support campaign has been launched for the family of Danna Eady, the 41-year-old Auberry woman identified Sunday as the third person to die following a plane crash near Sierra Sky Park.

The SupportNow fundraiser, sent by Fresno City Councilmember Mike Karbassi to GV Wire, organized by friends and family, identifies the two children killed in Saturday’s crash as Eady’s youngest sons, Pavel and Remus.

Eady’s husband, Craig, survived the crash but suffered severe burns and extensive injuries, according to the fundraiser. He is expected to face surgeries, rehabilitation, medical care, and a recovery lasting at least six months and potentially longer.

The couple also has two older children, Lucien, 17, and Felicity, 18, who lost their mother and younger brothers in the crash.

The fundraiser seeks $250,000 to help cover Craig’s medical care and recovery, travel, and other expenses connected to his treatment, household needs, and other unexpected costs. More than $4,200 had been raised by Sunday afternoon.

The Fresno County Sheriff’s Office identified Eady on Sunday after she died from injuries suffered in the crash. Authorities previously said two children died at the scene and two adults were taken to Community Regional Medical Center in critical condition.

The single-engine passenger aircraft crashed into a river embankment about 200 yards beyond the end of the runway at Sierra Sky Park in northwest Fresno. Emergency crews were called at about 3:45 p.m. Saturday.

The crash knocked out power to about 1,700 homes and sparked a small fire that crews quickly extinguished. The National Transportation Safety Board and Federal Aviation Administration are expected to investigate the crash.
